Wednesday, May 9th

Today was another warm and sunny day with a high of 65ºF.  The sky has changed from around 5 PM when there were cumulus humilis clouds to clear now.  It is currently 50ºF with a dew point of 41ºF.  The wind is 5 mph from the southwest, and the pressure is 29.94 inches.  Tonight more clear skies and a low of 42ºF is expected.  The forecast tomorrow is sunny skies and a high of 72ºF.  The high pressure systems that were over the western portion of the country have now arrived over our neck of the woods, and are bringing clear skies and warm weather as I predicted.
This can be seen in the surface map, which shows the high pressure system right over the state of Wisconsin and another by Missouri and Nebraska.  On the East Coast the large cold front is producing a lot of precipitation.  Low pressure systems and a cold front are moving in from the west.
