Winter Storm!

The winter storm arrived today, with snow starting around 2:30 this afternoon.  Because of the southeast winds we were experiencing today, the main part of the storm was pushed to the northern parts of Minnesota and Wisconsin.  The storm was created when a Colorado low pressure system started moving towards our area.  It mixed with warm air from the Gulf of Mexico and cooler air from the north, creating precipitation.  So far we have gotten about 5 to 6 inches precipitation.  Right now we are getting a wintry mix of precipitation because the temperature is 38ºF.  The precipitation should continue throughout the night, and with temperatures heading down to about 22ºF, it should cause some nasty road conditions tomorrow.
