Wednesday, April 25th

This morning started out with about a half an inch of rain around 10 AM.  The rest of the day was mostly cloudy with winds from the east at about 10 mph.  Right now it is 44ºF with wind from the north at 7 mph.  The dew point is 43ºF, and the pressure is 29.71 in. In the past two hours, it has gone from clear skies to stratus clouds covering about 90% of the sky.  Tonight the temperature should only drop a few degrees to about 42ºF.  Tomorrow should be sunny with a high of 57ºF.
The surface map shows a line of storms towards the east coast in front of a warm front, as well as some more precipitation on the west coast located around low pressure systems.  There is a large stationary front extending from Western Canada into southern Iowa.  The current cooler winds from the north are causing this stationary front, which is why the high tomorrow will only be in the upper 50s.
