Monday, April 16th

Today brought some very interesting and different weather than we have been experiencing lately.  This morning around 10 AM it was 33ºF, raining/snowing, and very windy.  The high ended up being 56ºF, but winds with gusts over 30 mph made the windchill be under 30ºF for most of the day.  The sky has been overcast all day.  It is currently 36ºF with winds from the northwest at about 5 mph.  The dew point 27ºF, and the pressure is 30.19 in. and rising.  The sky should begin clearing overnight, and a low of 27ºF is expected.  The forecast for tomorrow is a good one; 60ºF and sunny.
The surface map shows the cold front that moved through the state today bringing cold temperatures moving to the southeast.  There is another cold front in front of it.  Some storms can be seen just off the coast of Texas, but they are most likely in their dying stages because they are at the edge of a stationary front.
