Sunday, April 15th

Today was a warm end to the weekend.  The high was 75ºF, and there were gusts of wind over 40 mph.  It is currently 53ºF and it is lightly raining.  There is a wind from the southwest at about 15 mph, and the dew point is 49ºF.  Tonight we can expect the rain to continue, and for the temperature to drop down to about 46ºF.  Tomorrow should be much cooler and more rain and some snow is in the forecast.
The surface map shows some very interesting things going on throughout the country.  There is a band of thunderstorms ahead of two cold fronts moving through the middle of the country.  The map shows a low pressure system over Eau Claire right now.  This is at the intersection of a cold and warm front.  You can also see a large band of precipitation to the north that should affect is overnight.
