Friday, May 4th

So far, today has been a beautiful and sunny day with a high of 75ºF.  Right now it is 71ºF with a dew point of 54ºF.  The wind is from the southeast at 13 mph, and the pressure is 29.94 in.  This morning/early afternoon the skies were clear, but now they are overcast as a line of thunderstorms is approaching from the west.  The storms have just began moving into the state, and precipitation can be expected in about two hours.  The rain should only last for about three hours, and a low of 51ºF is expected.  Tomorrow should be cooler and also bring some rain.
The current surface map shows some scattered areas of precipitation throughout the country, as well as the line of storms approaching us at the moment.  A large cold/stationary front associated with low pressure systems is currently stretching from New York all the way to southern California.
